Good Evening and welcome to a Summer Newsletter,
The rugby season is now officially over but Tartan Touch continues on Wednesday and all are welcome, whatever your standard.
The annual rugby awards have taken place and winner of the Team of the Year are the under 15’s and Rachel Fishlock has been awarded Club Person of the Year for her outstanding work throughout the Club and in particular with our ever growing female section, the Panthers.
Greg Drummond has been selected to attend the BT Academy Level 1 programme over the summer. Under 15 players, Chris Gibson, Alex Connell, Robbie Millar and Mac Thomson have made it through to the next stage of the under 16 Glasgow selection progress and will be training at Ravenscraig and involved in regional matches across the summer.
We welcome Ian Hamilton as our new Head Coach and Brandon Wamberg will be Assistant Coach as well as playing this coming season. We wish them well in the season ahead which undoubtedly will be another tough one for us.
The Squash season is now over and the end of season finals took place recently. The winners were:
Champion – Garry MacKay
Plate Champion – Colin Hutton
Tin Bashers Champion – Brian Duffy
Over 40s Champion – Scott Hay
Over 50s Champion – Allan Brown
The Sports Dinner takes place next Friday, 21st June. There has been a very good response and we have circa 100 attending for which looks like a great night. The speakers are Roger Baird, David Orr and Bobby Shaw and there a few places left if you should wish to attend. Please contact secretary@whitecraigs.org

The Bar has two new beers this week with Staropramen and Black Fruits Cider on draught.
The Sponsorship campaign is underway with John Hamilton the lead in this vital area of Club finance. If you or your company can support us in any way, please contact me and we will be happy to discuss further.
The Club AGM takes place this Monday 17th June at 7.00pm. If you are interested in your Club, please attend and do not be afraid to speak up.
