It’s back – the Whitecraigs Beer Festival
17 August – get the date in your diary
The Whitecraigs Beer Festival is the largest annual event at Whitecraigs Rugby Club and its success relies on your support as club members.
This year’s event will take place on 17 August from midday to 7pm. Organisation of the event is well advanced and we have the licence required from the Council so the event will proceed come rain or shine! As we’re a new event team and we want to keep on-side with the Council, the event will be slightly smaller than the last festival we held in 2017 but still sticks to the formula of previous successful festivals organised by Percy and others.
As before, the festival will be a major community event in the Mearns for all and will be a family-friendly day out. Children will be welcome and we’re finalising some face painters and children’s attractions. As the alcohol will be flowing, children should be accompanied. We’ll have 2 marquees by the back of the clubhouse and an area for beer and food vendors close the clubhouse.
You can expect some of the best local brewers along with Gin and Prosecco bars, some excellent street food and first-class entertainment. Local DJ’s and bands will provide musical entertainment when the doors open.
We have free Festival pint glasses for the first 600 people on the day and free prosecco glasses for those who prefer bubbles!
Tickets cost £8 (children under 18 are free) and can only be purchased in advance from http://buytickets.at/whitecraigsrugbyclub/250003
We have a limit for the number of people attending so book early to avoid disappointment. Unsold tickets will be available on the day to buy with card or cash.
No re-entries and no entry after 5pm.
If you can, please leave the car at home as we have limited parking.
We’ll be asking for volunteers to help us nearer the time but for now put the date in your diary, buy your tickets.
