Good Evening from a dry West Lodge,
I hope you have all recovered from that amazing game at Twickenham, last Saturday. It was an unbelievable comeback from Scotland which almost resulted in the ending of the 36 year wait for a victory at the Cabbage Patch
Back to league business on Saturday with the 1st XV’s last home league of the season. The opponents are Peebles who will provide a stiff test. However, the team will want to give Stuart Henderson, Head Coach, a win in his last home game. Stuart has given the Club sterling service over the years as a player and a coach and we wish him well for the next part of his life away from the rugby pitch. Every point is precious in the two games that are left and anything we can get will help to stave off the threat of relegation. Kick off is at 3pm and any support will help the cause.
The 2nd XV are away to Strathendrick and the u18 are away to Biggar with 1pm kick off.
On Sunday, the Micros are at home with a 11.30 am start and the Minis are away to Paisley with an early start at 9.30am.
The under 13/14 teams are training at 12.30pm. The u15 boys are at home to Cartha with a 2pm kick off and u16 boys have training on Sunday.
I gave the wrong date last week for the u18 fundraiser. It is the 29th not the 30th – oops!
The squash teams season came to an end last night and it was good news all round:
The 1st team finished second in West 1 their highest ever position. The 2nd team just missed out on promotion from West 2 being placed third. The 3rd and 4ths were sixth and fifth respectively in Divisions 3 and 5. Great news all round and well done to everyone involved.
Dates for your diary:
