Craigs News 5th/6th October

Good Morning from a dull West Lodge,
Tomorrow the 1st XV cross the River Clyde to play Glasgow Accies at New Anniesland with a 3.00pm ko. The boys had a great bonus point win last Saturday against Gordonians and played a very open and fast style of rugby. It was great to see a bunch of youngsters playing heads up rugby with a smile on their face. This league has different types of teams and we will struggle against the large older experienced packs but the boys never stop trying and will attack at any opportunity. Glasgow Accies play a similar style to us and so tomorrow has the makings of an exciting game. Get across and support the boys if you can.
The 2nd XV are away to Dalziel with a 3pm kick off. The 2nd’s played on the adjacent pitch to the 1st’s last Saturday in a friendly against Clydebank with a fine win. Again a lot of youngsters playing which bodes well for the future but the “Oldies” were still there, with at one point a front row whose ages totalled 153. Rugby is a game for everyone!
There is a game at home tomorrow with u18’s playing Livingston with a 2pm kick off.
Our Conference opponents this weekend are Livingston with the u13’s and 14’s playing away and the u15’s and 16’s playing at home.
