Graeme was a member for 50 years and played rugby from his late teens to well into his forties. He was a ferocious competitor and was very able in his varied positions of hooker, back row and scrum half. He was a man who gave of his time to the Club and assisted at many events throughout his playing career.

He was a very competent diy enthusiast and his skills were utilised many times at the old Clubhouse at Deaconsbank. He enjoyed the camaraderie of rugby and the after match pint. His son, Colin, took on the family tradition and played through the minis, midis and Seniors.

After rugby, he turned to golf and whilst one of the most impatient golfers, he enjoyed the game and again the companionship of his fellow golfers.

Graeme suffered a stroke four weeks ago and unfortunately did not recover and slipped away last night.

He will be much missed by all of us who knew him and enjoyed his company over the years.

Our sympathies and thoughts are with his wife Alyson, son Colin, daughter in law Jillian and two grandchildren.
